Luxuria Lifestyle

My first blog networking event…

The Event…

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the #LLLUXBLOGFEST at 3 St James Square in London. I was lucky enough to win tickets to the event by entering a twitter competition. Usually the tickets would cost £50 per person.

The #LLLUXBLOGFEST event was organised by luxury online blog/magazine Luxuria Lifestyle. It was set up as a networking opportunity for bloggers and brands. There were over 30 brands showcasing at the event, ranging from fashion and beauty, to fitness and travel. Over 100 start up and professional bloggers attended. Some of the brands that I got the opportunity to meet at the event were…

The Brands…

Papillon Beachwear – Seeing as this is a travel blog, lets start with Papillon… They are a beachwear brand who offer a colourful and fun selection of beachwear and bags. For fellow pom pom lovers you will appreciate this one, I was obsessing over their pom pom pouches and kaftans… HOW CUTE ARE THESE…

(I annoyingly didn’t manage to get a good photo, so this one’s straight from the brands Instagram! Follow them @papillon_beachwear)

Susan Reid Collection – Another travel related one… If you are looking for a luxury getaway or venue in Scotland, look no further! Susan Reid has plenty of them to offer… She has variety of beautiful venues that she works with and offers her customers a bespoke service by finding their perfect venue, in their ideal location, at their required price. She is the perfect person to contact if you are planning a Scottish wedding, hen do or just fancy treating yourself to a little weekend break in a castle! I have never been to Scotland, but have always wanted to go, I will definitely be in touch when I start planning a trip there!

Pink Parcel – Non travel related, but one for the girls… Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box which “unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss free and fabulous” – quoted from their website. For £12.99 you could get sent one of these lovely boxes, full of fem care, beauty products, chocolate, tea and other goodies that will help you through your time of the month.

I actually really love the idea of this box and what it stands for. Fem care by itself can be super expensive, so you are getting a great deal and a lot for your money for £12.99. The actual value of the box is worth over £40, I was really impressed by the contents…

Pink Parcel have teamed up with designer Olivia Rubin and a couple of influencers to run a campaign to get girls talking more comfortably about their time of the month and making periods less of a taboo… I have imported their video below, so you can get to know a bit more about them and their campaign! I would really recommend checking their website and blog out as Pink Parcel is definitely a company to watch!

The Goodybag…

All great events come with a fabulous goody bag, and this one was particularly brilliant, full of beauty goodies. Here is a cheeky pic of some of the fun things I recieved…

I was super excited by the Pro Teeth Whitening – Activated Charcoal as I have wanted to try this for ages! I have been using it now for a week and can already see a little difference in the colour of my teeth, plus it makes them feel super clean. Will have to keep you posted on my results!

The Fashion Show…

The main event was a fashion show held by Serenity & Grace, a boutique fashion agency who showcased some of their brands finest outfits. All the outfits were super glam to sit back with the shows theme which was The Royal Wedding and Ascot Races. Check out some of the beaut outfits below…

The Raffle…

The final event of the day was the raffle, and look what I won… a lovely bottle of House of Elrick gin!

This Scottish brand was actually featured on dragons den and got offered funding by Peter Jones, however since the show aired it was revealed the owner turned the funding down and started a crowdfunding page instead. I haven’t tried the gin yet, I will be saving it for a special occasion, but as a gin lover I am expecting good things!

The Conclusion…

Overall the event was a good experience. For a start up blogger any networking opportunity is always worth taking. It is yours/our chance to mingle with like minded people and chat to brands that you could potentially one day work with. You never know who you will meet, or when you might find use for one of those contacts! For me with my blog focusing primarily on travel, this particular event was not so relevant to what I write about, however I definitely discovered a few great new brands that I will continue to follow! Thanks for the experience @luxurialifestyle!

(It is worth noting my review is 100% genuine and all opinions are my own. I was in no way endorsed to give a good review for any brands mentioned.)
